LIBRARY – The Father and his Sons

The father and his sons.

An older man felt he was living his last days.
He called his three sons and told them, “I’m not able to divide what I own to give each of you a part.
Therefore, I have decided to leave everything to the one who is the smartest and has the most exalted insight.
There is a coin on the table for each of you.
Whoever buys something to fill the hut will receive everything.”
The three sons left. The first one bought straw, but that only filled the hut halfway.
The second son bought bags of feathers, but he too couldn’t fill the hut completely.
The third son bought something tiny.

He waited until dark, took a candle out of his bag, lit it, and filled the hut with light.
